In the first step, we work with you to take stock of which IT hardware needs to be disposed of and what the options are.

In the second step, we collect your hardware using our own secure transport.

In the third step, your data is 100% certifiably destroyed, either via software using Certus Software or physically using our shredder.

The fourth step is testing your equipment for reusability. Working hardware gets a second life.

In the fifth and final step, you receive a full report, destruction certificates, and we arrange prompt payment.

Corporate social responsibility

A sustainable approach is central to Holland Recycling. Not only the processing itself is important here, but especially the way we do it. Because the refurbishment process for IT hardware lends itself particularly well to employing people with a distance to the labour market, we have a wonderfully mixed team. As a member of CSR initiative AANtWERK, we work daily towards inclusive business practices. Want to know more about our social approach? Check out our page about sustainability and CSR.

What is IT Asset Disposition?

IT Asset Disposition is the processing of used IT hardware. There are a number of things to consider here. You naturally want to be certain your hardware is handled securely. Because we specialise in recycling, hardware buyback and data destruction, you’re always in the right place with us.

We try to reuse hardware as much as possible, as this is the most sustainable option. It’s also the most financially advantageous option for you. If reuse is no longer possible, your hardware is processed at our WEEELABEX-certified recycling site. Naturally, the wishes and requirements of our clients always take priority in this.

Why choose Holland Recycling as your ITAD partner?

There are a number of things to consider in an ITAD process. First: data destruction. You don’t want your data ending up on the street. Make sure the company you choose is equipped to certifiably destroy your data 100%. GDPR holds you responsible for this. Second: choose an honest company with no hidden costs. Your old hardware is often still worth a lot of money. Always choose a WEEELABEX-certified company.

Additionally, environmentally conscious processing is essential. Unfortunately, a lot of hardware ends up in illegal channels. You naturally don’t want to contribute to that. At Holland Recycling, we make it easy for you: you can have us bid on a list, or have us register everything. This way, you are assured of a transparent process that complies with all laws and regulations.

What our clients say:

Certified recycling within ITAD

If reuse is no longer possible, your hardware is processed at our WEEELABEX-certified recycling site. First, in all cases, your data is 100% destroyed, either via software using certified Certus Software or by certifiably shredding your hard drives.

The materials are then processed in the most sustainable way. Valuable raw materials are recovered at rates of up to 95.8%. This way, you combine security, sustainability and financial return in a streamlined process.

Complete peace of mind with the ITAD process

Do you run a large or medium-sized business and want your hardware decommissioned securely? Holland Recycling takes the entire ITAD process off your hands. We come with our own transport and can package loose materials on-site using our own secure packaging.

After processing, you receive a full report with an overview of all disposed assets, destruction certificates and a clear financial overview. This way, you turn a time-consuming decommissioning process into a streamlined and hassle-free process that aligns with your CSR policy.

ITAD stands for IT Asset Disposition. This is a structured process that outlines how hardware (IT assets) should be safely and environmentally processed or phased out: from transportation to data wiping or destruction.

Businesses and government institutions are responsible for the data on their equipment, even after that equipment is taken out of use. Without a structured ITAD process, you risk data breaches, GDPR fines and reputational damage. Holland Recycling specialises in data destruction, reuse and recycling. We ensure your hardware is processed securely and demonstrably responsibly, with reuse always as the starting point. This is not only the most sustainable choice, but in many cases also the most financially advantageous.

No, electronics recycling and ITAD are two different ways of disposing of end-of-life IT devices. The ITAD process initially focuses on devices that still (partially) work or are reusable. With ITAD, you also receive official certificates, and the security of your data is guaranteed thanks to strict protocols. Holland Recycling is an ITAD-certified recycling company. This means we specialise in the correct and secure processing of your business IT equipment.

The costs or proceeds of ITAD depend on the volume and type of hardware, as well as the required services such as certified data wiping, transport, or reporting. In many cases, the residual value of your equipment largely, fully, or partially offsets the processing costs. Holland Recycling assesses your situation and provides a clear overview of costs and revenues.

A reliable ITAD partner works according to certified methods for data destruction. Holland Recycling offers two options: software-based wiping via Certus Erasure (certified by the NCSC and Common Criteria EAL3+) or physical shredding in accordance with DIN66399 protection class 3, security level H5. In both cases, you receive a destruction certificate with serial number registration. This allows you to demonstrate to regulators, auditors or your own compliance department, during any inspection, that your data has been professionally and GDPR-proof destroyed.
