Hard drive destruction with Holland Recycling? We process your hard disks and HDD drives securely, GDPR-proof and sustainably, always. From pickup at your location to the actual destruction (including a destruction statement).
"Your data destroyed, certified and GDPR-proof, in accordance with DIN66399."
Have your hard drives destroyed in five simple steps. We ensure a secure, certified and transparent process with minimal burden for your organisation.
In the first step, we collect your hard drives and data carriers from your location.
In the second step, your data is continuously secured at our site in Boxtel, with 24-hour camera surveillance and alarm security.
In the third step, we register all your hard drives based on serial number, brand name and capacity.
The fourth step is the actual destruction: your hard drives are shredded in accordance with DIN66399 3:H5.
In the fifth and final step, you receive a GDPR-compliant destruction statement, supplemented with the serial numbers of all destroyed data carriers.
A sustainable approach is central to Holland Recycling. Not only the processing itself is important here, but especially the way we do it. Because the refurbishment process for IT hardware lends itself particularly well to employing people with a distance to the labour market, we have a wonderfully mixed team. As a member of CSR initiative AANtWERK, we work daily towards inclusive business practices. Want to know more about our social approach? Check out our page about sustainability and CSR.

As a business or institution, you are responsible for the data on the data carriers you dispose of. Holland Recycling takes over this responsibility. We destroy in accordance with DIN66399 3:H5.
This depends on the quantity. If you also supply the equipment, we will remove the data carriers to register and destroy them. As a rule, you always receive the certificates, including the additional registrations, from us within 2 weeks.
You can trade in, sell or recycle old hard drives. At Holland Recycling, we can destroy old hard disks for institutions and businesses using our industrial shredder. The hard drives are ground down into minuscule pieces, so no one can access your confidential data anymore.
Hard drives are destroyed using our DIN66399 3:H5 certified shredder.
In both cases, your data is 100% destroyed. The advantage of wiping hard drives is that they retain their usability. If the hard disks are too old, wiping is not advisable. Emptying a hard drive takes a very long time, as it is overwritten completely multiple times.
You can destroy a hard drive with a hammer, a drill, or by submerging it in water, for example, but this is strongly discouraged when it holds privacy-sensitive data. Even with water damage and physical damage, the data can often still be recovered. Leave the shredding to Holland Recycling. We have certified shredders that guarantee your company data can never be recovered again.
