In the first step, you simply let us know how many monitors are involved and what the key specifications are.

In the second step, our specialists provide you with a fair, no-obligation offer based on the current market value.

In the third step, we schedule a pickup in consultation with you.

In the fourth step, the incoming monitors are processed into secondary raw materials.

In the final step, you receive our purchase invoice, which we then pay immediately.

Processing computer monitors requires a special approach.

Older monitors may still contain mercury. Holland Recycling ensures the correct, sustainable processing of computer monitors. Mercury-containing screens are processed separately and sustainably, and hazardous substances are safely captured.

Recycling and disposing of old monitors

The image quality of monitors, screens and televisions keeps improving. In addition, screen sizes have grown rapidly. As a result, monitors quickly become outdated and need to be replaced. But what should you look out for when trading in old monitors or screens? Many old monitors contain hazardous metals such as lead and mercury. This is why it is especially important to recycle these devices in a safe and certified manner. Holland Recycling helps you with this.

Besides recycling monitors, you can also come to us for the processing of other electronics. We offer a suitable solution for recycling old laptops, computers, servers and phones or tablets.

Responsible monitor recycling

Because monitors must be treated according to a special process due to the potential presence of lead or mercury, the recycling process is costly. This makes it attractive for unscrupulous traders to illegally transport e-waste abroad, where it is processed under deplorable conditions with little regard for people or the environment.

That’s why it’s important to ensure your organisation works with a certified and professional recycling company. Holland Recycling accepts all types of monitors and processes them safely and sustainably at our WEEELABEX-certified site. You can entrust us with your old screens with complete confidence.

Reusing monitors

Because of the cost of the recycling process, and the fact that monitors do not contain personal data, reuse is a particularly interesting alternative. It extends the lifespan of the device, reduces the amount of e-waste and is financially attractive for your organisation. By giving monitors a second life, you also actively contribute to the circular economy and your organisation’s CSR goals.

Does your company have larger quantities of working flat monitors with a screen diagonal of at least 22″? Then check out our options for selling your old monitors. Besides computer monitors, we also buy other types of screens and televisions. Contact us for a no-obligation valuation.

Frequently asked questions

Find direct answers here to the most frequently asked questions about recycling or trading in your old monitors or other IT hardware.

Do you have another question?

Isn’t your question listed? Send us an email and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Do you want us to destroy the monitors, or may they be reused? What quantities are involved, and what are the monitors’ specifications? All of this information determines whether the monitors can be picked up free of charge.

Yes, Holland Recycling buys larger batches of flat monitors, provided they have a screen diagonal of at least 22 inches and are in good condition for reuse. For smaller screens or defective monitors, we charge processing costs to guarantee environmentally friendly recycling.

Monitors that are technically no longer suitable for reuse (for example due to defects, dead pixels or age) are recycled. Because monitors can contain hazardous substances, this is done in accordance with the strictest WEEELABEX standards, to safely process these substances and recover raw materials.

You will always receive an invoice as agreed. If you have offered the monitors for reuse and agreed on an amount per monitor, you will receive our purchase invoice. This is paid to you by us.
