Having phones destroyed – How does that work?

Have your old tablets or phones destroyed in five simple steps. We ensure a secure and transparent process. From on-site pickup to the destruction statement.

In the first step, we collect your old phones and smartphones from your location using our own secure transport.

In the second step, your data is continuously secured at our site in Boxtel, with 24-hour camera surveillance and alarm security.

In the third step, we register your smartphones based on serial numbers and/or IMEI numbers.

The fourth step is data destruction: the batteries are removed, and your phones are either securely wiped or shredded into small pieces.

In the fifth and final step, you receive a destruction statement, if desired with the serial numbers and IMEI numbers of the devices.

Destroying old phones safely and sustainably

Do you have business phones or old mobiles you want destroyed securely? At Holland Recycling, we ensure all data on your devices is completely and irrecoverably removed. We collect your phones and smartphones, regardless of brand or type: Samsung, iPhone, Huawei and many more brands.

After destruction, emails, phone numbers, photos, videos, texts and passwords are permanently gone. The remaining materials are responsibly processed and, as much as possible, recycled into new raw materials. This way, you not only protect your company information, but also contribute to a better environment.

Wiping phones as an alternative

Wiping phones (erasing data) is also an option. Holland Recycling uses certified software from Certus Erasure for this. After the wiping process, you receive our wipe report. Phones that cannot be wiped via software will still be destroyed by Holland Recycling through shredding.

The big advantage of wiping phone data compared to shredding is that the phones can still be sold and therefore represent a residual value. Reuse contributes to the circular economy. Old phones physically destroyed

Holland Recycling specialises in physically destroying phones and smartphones. With our professional phone shredder, devices are shredded into small pieces, after which the materials are recycled. You receive an official destruction statement, if desired with serial numbers and/or IMEI numbers of the devices.

This way, you are assured that your sensitive company information never ends up in the wrong hands. Holland Recycling further processes the shredded fraction into secondary raw materials, preserving valuable materials and contributing to the circular economy.

Hard drive destruction

Certified destruction of HDD and SSD drives, via shredding or software-based wiping. Including an official destruction certificate for your records.

Hard drive wiping

Software-based wiping with certified Certus Software. Data is overwritten at least three times, and the drive retains its residual value.

Hard drive shredding

Physical destruction of hard drives into small particles, in accordance with DIN66399 H5. Including serial number registration and a destruction statement.

Tape destruction

Certified destruction of data tapes and other backup media. Always in accordance with DIN66399 with a destruction statement.

How are phones destroyed?

At Holland Recycling, we can destroy your phones. For this, Holland Recycling uses a shredder that shreds the phones. We further process the shredded fraction into secondary raw materials. You receive a destruction statement from us, optionally supplemented with the serial numbers and/or IMEI numbers of the phones.

When should you have phones destroyed?

The current generation of smartphones contains an enormous amount of data. Think, for example, of email files, documents or other sensitive company information. Want to be certain, as an employee, that this data is destroyed for good? Then you’re in the right place with Holland Recycling.

Can phones also be wiped?
